I know what you may be thinking – its Winter time in India and here I am with an armload of the new Tala abaca macrame collection in tow. But there’s nothing like a trip to beautiful India to try out our new products and how they pan out for holiday travel. As a bonus, I love the idea of taking a piece of the tropics with me wherever I go.
As you know by now, we name our bags after ladies close to our hearts. The Cynthia mini is no exception. My auntie Cynthia is a soft-spoken lady who works as a social worker. When I was small, she would often be away – working on field projects in far away places around the Philippines. Whenever she returns, she would always have little keepsakes and sweet treats for me. I admire her dedication to her job and her sweet, wholesome personality. We share a love for plants, books and music too. So in a sense, I not only have a piece of the tropics with me when I travel. Often and consciously so, I also have a piece of “home” everywhere I go.
